Brett Hundley is the second UCLA Bruin on our wish list for day two of the 2015 NFL Draft along with inside linebacker Eric Kendricks, but unlike Kendricks we would wait for the 80th overall pick which is the KC Chiefs first pick in the third round to select Hundley.

I know what you are thinking; The KC Chiefs already have five quarterbacks on the roster in Alex Smith, Chase Daniel, Terrelle Pryor, Tyler Bray, and 2014 fifth round draft pick Aaron Murray so why would they draft a quarterback and add a sixth quarterback to the roster?

The answer to that is because Hundley has a better chance of being a starter in the NFL than any other quarterback on the Chiefs roster not named Alex Smith in my opinion.

More from Chiefs Draft Analysis

"Nice job stepping into his throws with easy arm strength to spin a pretty ball to all levels of the field – able to generate unforced velocity…quick set-up, rhythm and delivery motion…comfortable operating from a clean pocket with an even-keeled, calm demeanor…improved understanding of situational football…nice job selling play fakes and works his mannerisms well…durable and plays through pain (dealt with minor ankle and elbow injuries), starting every game of his career (40 career starts)…mature leader for his age with a gutsy demeanor even if it doesn’t appear that way because of his reserved demeanor – voted team captain as a sophomore. -Courtesy of Dane Brugler and Rob Rang of CBS Sports"

Hundley is rated as the third best quarterback, and 63rd best overall prospect in the 2015 NFL Draft according to CBS Sports. I fully expect Hundley to be drafted sometime in the second round considering there are still quarterback needy teams and he is the next best available. There is a pretty big talent gap between Hundley and the next best quarterback so if a team wants a legit quarterback they need to grab Hundley.
