Ben Heeney is not the biggest at 6′ tall and 231 pounds, he is one of those players that is not the best at anything. He has nothing that he is great at, and has some things that he struggles with, but he was still able to fill the stat sheet at Kansas with 218 tackles, 117 assists, 4.5 sacks, four interceptions, and three forced fumbles despite playing on a terrible Kansas defense.

Heeney was able to overcome his weaknesses with his work ethic. He is a relentless player that never quits or gives up on a play. You will never see him take a play off and always gives 110%. Even if he doesn’t develop into a starting caliber inside linebacker there is a good chance that he will be a special teams star.
He is the type of player that would look at being placed on the special teams unit as an opportunity rather than as a demotion. The coaches will love having Heeney on the team.
"Physical wrap-up tackler and throws his body around with toughness to take the punishment. Plays pissed off with a chip and violent, competitive nature. Floats well in coverage to jump passes and get his hands on the ball (eight passes defended, four interceptions in his career). Experienced with man coverage responsibilities and was often the only linebacker on the field, rarely leaving the field. Physical downhill blitzer. Try-hard motor and leaves it all out on the field with resilient mentality. -Courtesy of Dane Brugler of CBS Sports"
Heeney is listed as the sixth best inside linebacker, and 139th best overall prospect in the 2015 NFL Draft according to CBS Sports.
He falls in a tough spot for the KC Chiefs because they would either have to reach with their fourth round pick which is the 118th pick, trade up to get back into the middle of the fifth round, or hope that Heeney falls to them with their compensatory fifth round pick which is the 172nd overall pick.
