Addressing the secondary is a huge need for Kansas City and I had them doing so in the second round with Kevin Johnson out of Wake Forest. Wake Forest might not be known for producing a ton of NFL talent, but Johnson could be the answer for the Chiefs at the cornerback position.
Right now, the Chiefs have Sean Smith, who had a terrific 2014 season, Marcus Cooper, Jamal Fleming, and Phillip Gaines at the cornerback spot. Ron Parker more than likely will slide over to safety due to Eric Berry‘s health, and Hussain Abdullah is also over in the safety position.

Yes, Smith had a terrific 2014 season, but he has one year left on his contract and depending on his play in 2015, will likely be getting a big deal in the future. Hopefully the Chiefs can keep Sean Smith on their team, but if not, Kevin Johnson could be his potential replacement.
"Johnson is a three-year starting cornerback who showed great improvement in man coverage from 2013 to 2014. While he lacks desired weight at the position, his cover skills, athleticism and competitiveness give him a shot to come in and start right away. Johnson can play gunner on special teams. – NFL.com"
Other positions I considered drafting in this round were at offensive tackle or at the inside linebacker spot, but Johnson was the best available out of all of the major needs remaining on the board.
