Round 3, Pick 16

I have taken Tyler Lockett in every single mock draft I have done this year and this mock is no different. He is too perfect of a fit, and it is the most obvious choice in the entire draft. I would take Lockett with the second round selection so if he is there in the third round it is a no brainer. If the KC Chiefs leave the 2015 NFL Draft without selecting Lockett I will be very disappointed.

Lockett has been vocal about his desire to follow in his fathers footsteps and play in Kansas City.

Lockett is a raw receiver that still has a lot of learning to do to improve but the talent is there. He is a great route runner, fast, shifty, and has great hands. He does struggle in press coverage but if he beats the press it is hard for defenders to keep up with him.

Lockett fits perfectly in the offense that head coach Andy Reid likes to run. He is great after the catch and defenses would have a fit trying to account for him, Maclin, Charles, Thomas, and Kelce.

He is currently projected as the 12th best wide receiver in the draft and 78th overall prospect according to CBS Sports so the KC Chiefs selecting him with the 80th pick is a very real possibility.
