As I mentioned before, this mock draft only allowed me to have seven selections, but the Kansas City Chiefs will have at least 11 picks come draft weekend. That should allow for the Chiefs to draft several wide receivers and offensive linemen, which were easily the two weakest areas last season.

  • While some of these guys seemed to drop rather far in this mock draft, that will sometimes happen during the real thing. If Kansas City could get one or two steals (sort of like they did with Zach Fulton in last year’s draft), then this could potentially be one of the Chiefs’ best drafts in years.

Hopefully, Kansas City goes either offensive lineman or wide receiver in the first round and then picks the other position in the second round. I went offensive lineman in the first round because it’s hard for Alex Smith to do anything when he’s eating the turf half the time.

With 11 total picks, the Chiefs should be able to build themselves quite a strong and can hopefully become a contender for the 2015 season.
