Austin Shepherd is a low risk, high character guy. He has a charity called “The Austin Shepherd Foundation” that is dedicated to helping children in the hospital in Alabama.
"Possesses a combination of size, power and surprisingly light feet. Uses his long arms and strength to slow pass rushers. Shuffles well laterally and can anchor against bull rushers in pass protection. -Rob Rang of CBS Sports"
Conclusion
That is my first mock draft for the 2015 NFL Draft. The KC Chiefs were able to invest in their future on offense and bring in some much needed depth on defense.
I would have liked to draft an Inside Linebacker due to the uncertainty of Derrick Johnson returning from his injury but nobody that I felt fit the Chief’s needs was around when I drafted. I also wanted to take a Defensive Lineman late in the draft to provide some depth but I opted for two Defensive Back’s and an Offensive Tackle instead.
Let me know what you think of how my draft turned out or what you did different. Feel free to post your own mock draft in the comment section as well. I never get tired of seeing everyone’s mock draft’s.
