The Kansas City Chiefs showed just how good of a football team they are when they took down the defending champion Seattle Seahawks at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The win puts the Chiefs at 7-3 on the year and tied with the Denver Broncos for first place in the AFC West.
The game started off with an impressive three and out for the Chiefs defense, who then got the ball and marched down the field for a nine minute drive. The drive ended with a one yard Jamaal Charles rushing touchdown to put the Chiefs up 7-0.
The Seahawks answered with a nine minute drive of their own for a Russell Wilson pass to Doug Baldwin to put the game at 7-7.

Jamaal Charles then rushed for his second touchdown with an incredible block by Travis Kelce to give the Chiefs all the momentum in the first half. After that, the Seahawks kicked a field goal and later recovered a Travis Kelce fumble in the middle of the field to get the ball back and kick yet another field goal.
The game was 14-13 at the half and the Chiefs got the ball back at the start of the second half. Kansas City was able to tack on a Cairo Santos field goal on their first possession of the second half
Jamaal Charles later fumbled, which gave Seattle the ball in good territory and later resulted in a touchdown. Former Chief Tony Moeaki had that touchdown reception by the way.
The Chiefs put up yet another rushing touchdown later by Knile Davis to take a 24-20 lead, which ended up being the final score of the day.
Overall, the run defense looked dreadful, but really held it together on the three fourth down attempts by Seattle. The Kansas City Chiefs are still the only team that haven’t allowed a rushing touchdown. On the flip side of that, they’re still the only team yet to throw a touchdown pass to a wide receiver. Which streak will end first?

This was a HUGE win for the Kansas City Chiefs. I am seriously so proud of these guys and they’re now tied for first place in the AFC West with the Denver Broncos, who lost to the St. Louis Rams today (LOL).
No one could have told me that Kansas City would be 7-3 and tied for the division title in week 11 after their horrible showing in week one. Had they won that game, they’d be winning the division right now. Hmm…
Next up a short week to take on AFC West rival Oakland in the black hole.
