The Kansas City Chiefs fans found out today they would lose a home game next season as the NFL has scheduled the Chiefs to host a game in London against the Detroit Lions.
Reaction has not been positive on Twitter. ESPN NFL Nation reporter, Adam Teicher didn’t seemed pleased. Fans and media types alike seem puzzled and/or upset at the news. This probably won’t be the greatest public relations move the Chiefs have ever made.
Check out some tweets on the subject from Twitter:
Literally every team that has gone to London as the “home” team has been battling attendance issues or angling for a new stadium/renovations

Clark Hunt continues to be the worst RT @adamteicher #Chiefs will play in London next year. Vs Lions on Nov 1. That was to be a KC home game

Guys, KC ain't getting no damn Super Bowl. But Clark Hunt is getting richer and the fans are getting screwed. What a total joke. #Chiefs

CHIEFS in London next year? One less Arrowhead game? Damn. I bet the Lions are pleased... #ChiefsKingdom

Okay, if the end game here is doing a favor for the NFL so you'll get a Super Bowl in KC, then I'm all for it.

The @nfl is such full of crap. "We care first and foremost about our fans!" THEN PLAY THE GAMES IN FRONT OF ACTUAL NFL FANS. SCREW LONDON.

Clark Hunt is a cheap sellout who is the second coming of his lousy father. Lamar Hunt sucked post-1970. All about money. Screw the fans.

There seems to be some hope the Kansas City Chiefs are trading in a favor in exchange for getting to host a Super Bowl. That seems unlikely as it is not an even trade. One home game for the biggest sports media event in the country. That is very hard to believe.

Kansas City getting to host a Super Bowl just seems to be a pipe dream. It wold be nice, but does anyone really believe the NFL is going to schedule the big game here?
Most fans seem a bit miffed about the Chiefs losing a home game. Really, it doesn’t make much sense, considering the Chiefs strong home following year in and year out. It would be interesting to hear any information or reasoning from the NFL or the Kansas City Chiefs.
Losing that incredible Arrowhead home field advantage against a quality opponent could come back to haunt the Chiefs in the standings next year, as well with the rabid fan base. This is a strange scenario, no matter how you look at it.
