Few fans are as passionate about their teams than Kansas City fans, whether it is making Arrowhead Stadium the loudest outside venue in the world, or filling up Sporting Park each match, or being Royal in Kauffman Stadium. The area also supports three of the most passionate college fan bases in the country.

Draft day is HERE!!! It’s Christmas Morning for NFL fans. We just have to wait for the adults to get up, suffer through Church—and a Christmas dinner—and THEN we get to open our presents. Still, the big day is here.

Ben Nielsen at Arrowhead Addict lists 3 wide-receivers the team might pick if they acquire a 2nd round pick—either through a trade down or dealing a player on their roster.

Patrick Allen writes that the Chiefs are rebuilding while trying to win at the same time. He expects some changes with familiar faces on current roster that might not be the best fits for Andy Reid‘s system:

"Many of the players on the Chiefs’ roster were not drafted to play in Reid’s offense or Bob Sutton’s defense. That doesn’t mean that they aren’t good players to have but it does mean that their time on the roster is likely limited. The Chiefs do not have a lot of salary cap room and so it is foolish to think that Dorsey is going to pay a lot of money to veteran players that aren’t good fits for the team’s system."

Turning our attention the Royals and their development policies, David Hill at Kings of Kauffman points out how Dayton Moore has treated Mike Moustakas and Johnny Giavotella in completely different ways.

Meanwhile, Lee Warren at Royals Review looks at how the team uses analytics to make scouting evaluations.

The Bleacher Report wonders if Sporting KC’s Dom Dwyer is poised for a breakout year:

"Dwyer is currently No. 5 in MLS in shots attempted, and only four attempts behind the leader Clint Dempsey. He’s also in the top 20 with respect to goals scored, in a log jam with several players at four goals. His hard style and experience as a leader is helping him into a role that he’s filling nicely for the departed Teal Bunbury."
