The Kansas City Chiefs are off to a third consecutive Super Bowl after defeating the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship Game. It was a game where several Chiefs stepped up to overcome the rival Bills, including wideout/special teamer Nikko Remigio.

Remigion was busy throughout the contest, making a total of five kick and punt returns. The former Fresno State product's night started off on the wrong foot, though, leading to his being challenged to step up by veteran tight end Travis Kelce.

Chiefs News: Travis Kelce Challenge Nikko Remigio During AFC Championship Game

On Wednesday's edition of "Up & Adams," Remigio revealed how Kelce motivated him to step up after the former called a fair catch on a first-quarter punt return.

"I had fair caught that first punt coming out the gates and (Kelce) was like, 'That's not being great, bro,'" Remigio said. "Going into the next opportunity I had, I'm like 'I gotta make something happen.'"

Fortunately, Remigio made good on his promise.

The versatile 25-year-old capitalized on his next opportunity, turning Bills punter Sam Martin's 45-yard punt into a 41-yard return, completing flipping the field. The Chiefs didn't let Remigio's work go to waste as the ensuing drive culminated in a one-yard Patrick Mahomes rushing touchdown.

The impressive special teams feat not only wowed Chiefs fans but the individual that encouraged Remigio to step up, too.

"(Kelce) was the first one to greet me coming to the sideline and he was like, 'That's how you be great, dawg,'" Remigio shared. "I was like, 'This is a dream.'"

On top of his game-changing punt return, Remigio also impressively averaged 26.8 yards across four kick returns.

Time will reveal if Remigio can make a similar impact when the Chiefs meet the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans on Feb. 9. Kansas City fans know how important a dynamic returner can be when the Lombardi Trophy is on the line, proven by Kadarius Toney's record-breaking 65-yard punt return against the Eagles at Super Bowl 57.

For now, Remigio and the Chiefs will head into their clash with the Eagles as FanDuel Sportsbook's -1.5-point Super Bowl favorites.
