Super Bowl 59 was a complete disaster from start to finish for the Kansas City Chiefs. They were outclassed on both ends of the field, and the Eagles came away with one of the most lopsided Super Bowl victories in recent memory. The final scoreline of 40-22 doesn't do justice to the disappointing showing by the Chiefs, especially on the offensive side of the ball.

Understandably, the team was as disappointed in the result as the fans, walking off the field and heading to the locker room while confetti fell, and the Eagles began to celebrate. The Athletic's Nate Taylor shared a video on social media showing the somber mood in the tunnel heading to the Chiefs locker room.

Chiefs Postgame Video Shows Somber Mood After Super Bowl Loss

The Chiefs have every right to be disappointed. After a dominant regular season in which they won the first-round bye, the Chiefs were healthy and clicking at the right time.

Their defense looked as good as it ever has, and they were favored against the Eagles heading into the Super Bowl. They were one win away from accomplishing a historic three-peat.

Super Bowl 59 showed once again why a team has never won three straight Super Bowls. Consistently winning at the highest level when the rest of the league tries to catch up to you and take you down is very hard.

The Chiefs went up against a very good Eagles team, which was prepared, disciplined, and organized. Their key players stepped up and deserved every bit of the win.

While the Eagles celebrate, the Chiefs have to turn their attention to the offseason. The offensive woes that ailed them on Sunday must be fixed before the 2025 NFL season kicks off.
