The Kansas City Chiefs are the team that everyone in the NFL is looking to catch up to. They have won two straight Super Bowl titles despite having some clear holes on the roster in 2023.

Regardless, rolling into 2024 the Chiefs are looking for an unprecedented three-peat. They will have their hands full but they made some quality additions this offseason to improve the team.

One of their biggest weakness came at wide receiver, which led to Kansas City adding Xavier Worthy in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Even though he has yet to play a down for the Chiefs, he received a preseason accolade.

Chiefs News: Xavier Worthy Named to NFL Offensive All-Rookie Team

NFL.com’s Chad Reuter released his 2024 offensive All-Rookie Team and had Worthy on the list. Reuter raved about Worthy and thinks he's in store for a big first year.

"The union between the Chiefs and Worthy represented one of the draft's best marriages of skill and a team’s needs. His ability to run past defenders and make moves after the catch will get him on Patrick Mahomes' radar early in the season. Rashee Rice's off-field issues could lead to opportunities for Worthy, as could any inconsistency shown by veterans Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and Mecole Hardman. Worthy could also earn a spot on the All-Rookie squad as a kick returner."

His analysis hit the nail right on the head. Worthy's skillset is a perfect match for the Chiefs and what they like to do on offense.

Andy Reid loves to utilize speedy players offensively and finds a way to put them in great positions to succeed. That in combination with the best quarterback in the league Patrick Mahomes and the sky is the limit.

Worthy broke the NFL record with a 4.21-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine. That really caught the attention of teams around the league but Worthy is more than a deep threat.

He owns a nice route tree and has the ability to create separation from defenders. In three seasons at Texas, Worthy racked up 197 receptions for 2,755 receiving yards, and 26 touchdowns.

With Rashee Rice likely facing a suspension and Mecole Hardman seemingly regressing, Marquise Brown is the only other wide receiver that Worthy will have to fight for reps against.

There will be more than enough opportunities for Worthy to produce in 2024 and make a name for himself. Just ask Chad Reuter how he feels about Worthy.
