Xavier Worthy Calls Out NFL Analyst After Sensational Debut
The Kansas City Chiefs started the 2024 regular season with a bang on Thursday night. They came out with a 27-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens and began the new season with a 1-0 record.
This offseason, general manager Brett Veach did a great job adding more playmakers to the roster. They were able to snag wide receiver Xavier Worthy in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft and he played major dividends in Thursday's win.
NBC Sports' Rodney Harrison was speaking about Worthy pregame and revealed he's not scared of him.
Harrison said, "Xavier Worthy is this little skinny guy, he doesn't care me, I know he is fast, but he doesn't scare me."
Worthy responded on social media shortly after the game.
Chiefs News: Xavier Worthy Responses to Rodney Harrison
On his Instagram story, Worthy responded to the clip of Harrison speaking pregame and commented, "Word!!".
Instead of letting those comments get into his head, the Texas product showed out in his NFL debut. Worthy finished with two receptions for 47 yards and a touchdown. He also had one carry for 21 yards and another score.
This is a great sign for both the Chiefs and Worthy. He provided an impact in his first outing and his confidence is sky high now.
Harrison may need to watch what he says regarding Worthy and other players on the roster because they are paying close attention.
The Chiefs already have a long list of haters and doubters who don't want them to prevail this season. But regardless of what they say, Kansas City showed they are still the team to beat in the NFL.
