Travis Kelce Reveals Only Team He'd Leave Chiefs For
By Joe Summers
Travis Kelce revealed the only team he'd ever leave the Chiefs to play for on the latest episode of his New Heights podcast. Don't worry though, it sounds like he'll be a Chief for life.
Travis and his brother, Jason, were in London for the episode and were discussing the NFL potentially adding a team there. Both fully supported the idea, with Travis saying he was waiting for it to happen and that's the only team he'd suit up for outside of Kansas City.
In fact, Travis believes the NFL will have a team overseas within the next 10 years.
Travis Kelce Says He'd Play for London NFL Team
"I'm waiting for that team to play for another team other than the Chiefs," said Kelce. "That's the only situation is if I get to play abroad."
Kelce is enjoying international fame now that he's dating Taylor Swift, with new business ventures and plans to host a television game show. He recently signed a new contract with Kansas City and isn't going anywhere, though it's hard to fault him for dreaming of playing abroad.
When asked by Jason how long he thought it'd take for an NFL team to be launched outside of the United States, Travis didn't hesitate. "Less than 10 years," he responded promptly. The league has international games every year, growing the sport and brand to new audiences. It makes sense that a team could soon call another country home.
Despite the comments, Travis is fully focused on the Chiefs and their bid for a three-peat. He knows the historical implications and won't let London aspirations distract him.
