Travis Kelce's transition to eventual Hollywood stardom is well underway, now officially confirmed by Adam Sandler himself to have a role in the upcoming Happy Gilmore 2 sequel.

After rumors throughout the summer that Kelce would be in the movie, Sandler confirmed during an interview on The Tonight Show that the Chiefs' superstar tight end was indeed involved.

Kelce is already in line to host Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? on Amazon Prime and has a starring role in an upcoming FX series, continuing a long list of off-field endeavors for the 35-year-old future Hall of Famer.

Adam Sandler Confirms Travis Kelce Will Be in Happy Gilmore 2

"Travis...mentioned it, so we have a nice something for Travis," Sandler said during the interview. "He’s gonna come by. He’s a very nice guy. You guys would love him in real life. What a big, handsome guy. Funny and cool as hell. He’s a stud and he’s so funny."

Considering Kelce's rising stardom and the overwhelming popularity of the original Happy Gilmore film, this news should come as no surprise.

Kelce had previously admitted how much he wanted to appear in the sequel, saying "I’ll do anything in the movie. I’ll be part of it any way I possibly can."

During an episode of New Heights earlier this summer, Jason Kelce floated the possibility of Travis being Shooter McGavin's caddy, an idea that Travis supported. It's not yet clear what role he'll have, yet it sounds like Sandler has something fun planned.

For now, this is just another example of how quickly Travis' profile is growing and will continue to grow provided the Chiefs keep up their on-field success.
