Whew, talk about a metaphor.

Shortly after Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid vocalized their frustrations with the referees, Chris Jones was forced to abruptly end his press conference when a ceiling tile fell on members of the media.

For those scoring at home, that means the sky is literally falling on the Chiefs.

Chris Jones Ends Press Conference Because Sky is Falling

This was an extremely disappointing loss, and it's a cruel bit of irony that the ceiling fell. It appears no media members were hurt, though they've ended the press conference for the time being.

We saw frustrations mount for the Chiefs, with Chris Jones showing emotion and Patrick Mahomes shouting at referees following the game. The loss puts Kansas City at 8-5 and now in need of a lot of help to win the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

Things are so bad that the Broncos are now just one game behind the Chiefs in the AFC West race. Yes, the sky is falling indeed.

On the bright side, the Chiefs square off with the hapless Patriots next week, the perfect opponent for a get-right game.
