L'Jarius Sneed and Trent McDuffie deserve to be Pro Bowlers

Maybe I'm the one living under a rock.

I thought it was obvious that L'Jarius Sneed and Trent McDuffie were among the very best cornerbacks in all of football, but the NFL's recent Pro Bowl voting overlooks the superstar duo.

As it stands, neither would make the Pro Bowl despite smothering opponents all year. We already knew Mahomes was disrespected, but the outrage extends to these two as well.

NFL Pro Bowl Voting: L'Jarius Sneed and Trent McDuffie Disrespected

Sneed ranks ninth among all cornerbacks, while McDuffie is not listed at all. I know they aren't the most recognizable players on the team, but this is unacceptable.

Starting with Sneed, he's shadowed opposing top receivers all year to great success, ranking fourth on the Chiefs in tackles (56) with eight deflected passes. Opposing QBs have just a 56.1 passer rating when targeting Sneed, a tremendous feat considering he's been targeted 76 times.

His partner-in-crime, McDuffie, is third on the team in tackles (62) with six deflected passes and a ridiculous five forced fumbles. Their skillsets compliment each other perfectly and have propelled Kansas City to one of the best defensive units in the league.

There's still plenty of time for voters to turn things around, but make no mistake: Sneed and McDuffie deserve to be not only Pro Bowlers, but All-Pro's as well.
