Royals Reveal Brand New Jersey Sponsor Ahead of 2024 Season

As the Royals usher in a new era of baseball bolstered by an expanded payroll and an exciting roster, they now officially have a jersey sponsor.

In the most Kansas City possible fashion, QuikTrip will have patches on the arm of the Royals' jerseys moving forward. It's the first jersey sponsor the organization has ever had and notably, it's the first an only MLB jersey partnership built around supporting the community.

Fans on social media quickly discussed both the fitting local tribute and an apparent disdain for the big red patch, but I view this as an overwhelming positive for the direction of the franchise.

It made the Royals look underserved to go all of last year without a patch, and this falls in line with the record-setting extension for Bobby Witt Jr. and plans for a new stadium as steps John Sherman and the ownership group are taking to move Kansas City into its next era of baseball.
