Rashee Rice is reportedly under investigation for a new legal issue pending from an incident in Dallas on Monday.

According to WFAA in Dallas, Rice allegedly hit a photographer at a club early Monday morning. Rice, who currently faces eight charges for his role in a car crash in Dallas in March, was already expected to be suspended by the NFL and now faces this new allegation.

Police sources tell WFAA that "officers are interviewing witnesses about the incident that allegedly happened" at a local established called Lit Kitchen.

Chiefs News: Rashee Rice Facing New Legal Issue

It's important to note that at this time, this is merely an investigation into allegations and no charges have been filed. If such charges are filed, we'll promptly update you with the new information.

Rice is considered a rising star in Kansas City after a sparkling rookie season in which he caught 79 passes for 938 yards and seven TDs en route to a Super Bowl win. He became one of Patrick Mahomes' favorite targets throughout the season, even putting up 262 receiving yards in the playoffs.

Clark Hunt and the Chiefs were previously waiting for the legal process to play out before pressing forward with any punishment themselves, though this is now Rice's second issue with law enforcement in the last 45 days.

It's notable that there is no record of a recent arrest, so he has neither been arrested or charged, though the latter could change depending on the investigation. For a Kansas City team trying to win a third consecutive Super Bowl, these issues are not a matter the organization is likely to take lightly.

This is a developing story and we'll bring you news as it becomes available.
