Clark Hunt Comments on Rashee Rice for First Time

Chiefs owner Clark Hunt made his first public comments about Rashee Rice's ongoing legal situation on Saturday during the NFL Draft, noting that he's disappointed in Rice's actions but nothing has changed with the wideout's status with the organization.
These comments come just two days after NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell shared that the league was letting the legal process play out before stepping in, and it seems Hunt and the Chiefs are taking a similar position.

It's not yet clear what sort of punishment Rice may face from the league, though a suspension is likely according to recent reporting. He's going through the legal process now, facing both civil lawsuits and criminal charges.
The Chiefs have reworked the wide receiver room in recent weeks, bringing Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown to Kansas City on a one-year deal and trading up for Texas WR Xavier Worthy in the first round of the draft.
Rice still projects as one of the most important receivers on the roster and should keep his large role after he's served whatever suspension may be coming.
That Hunt declared Rice's status on the roster has not changed is a positive, though we'll see if the 2023 second-round pick faces additional discipline from the organization on top of any suspension from the NFL itself.
