Rashee Rice Gives Back to Community Amid Legal Trouble
By Joe Summers
Chiefs WR Rashee Rice has been in the news for all the wrong reasons this offseason though he's now making headlines for the right ones.
Rice shared a video on his Instagram distributing pizza and water in a Dallas community on Wednesday amid ongoing legal trouble that's expected to result in a suspension at some point from the NFL.
With the hot Texas summer underway, Rice's gesture was likely appreciated in the community.

Rice is currently facing eight criminal charges for his involvement in a car crash in Dallas at the end of March. He's actively participating in Chiefs OTAs and it's still possible he won't be suspended until after the legal proceedings conclude.
The 2023 second-round pick became Kansas City's best wide receiver over the course of his rookie season, catching 79 passes for 938 yards and seven TDs in a breakout campaign.
He's expected to be a major part of the Chiefs' offense when he's on the field, so seeing this kind of gesture is a positive sign following the tumultuous offseason. Rice was also the subject of an allegation regarding an assault of a photographer, though he's since been cleared in that matter.
Chiefs fans have hoped Rice's issues were merely a blip and not an indication of his character. Actions like Wednesday's are a great step in the right direction.
If Rice can stay out of trouble as the Chiefs gear up for the new season, the organization will feel much better about its chances to become the first in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls.
