The Kansas City Chiefs are the team that everyone is aiming to stop. You can't blame people around the league. The Chiefs are looking to win their third straight Super Bowl title and will be getting everyone's best shot on a weekly basis.

One of the biggest additions this offseason, wide receiver Hollywood Brown is expected to miss four to six weeks after suffering a sternoclavicular injury in the first preseason game.

That complicates things in the wide receiver room but they may have lucked out. Rumors have started circulating that Washington Commanders wide receiver Jahan Dotson may be on the move.

NFL News: Jahan Dotson May Be on Trade Block

When speaking with reporters this week head coach Dan Quinn said the Commanders were in the thick of their WR2 search. He named multiple players who will be getting looks, including Dotson but he pointed out Olamide Zaccheaus as someone who has had a good camp.

To add fuel to the fire, Dotson added he wasn't surprised by his coach's comments, in a piece written by Sam Fortier of the Washington Post.

"DQ didn’t draft me. Each and every year … in your profession, you got to prove yourself. You got to prove what you’re worth and what you’re capable of doing. That’s what I’m trying to do."

Jahan Dotson

With the regular season less than a month away, this doesn't bode well for Dotson. The former Penn State product is playing under a new coaching staff and may be falling out of order with them quickly.

The Commanders clearly like their wide receiver room which means that Dotson could be available. The 24-year-old is a smooth route runner who owns strong hands and has a good catch radius.

Through his first two seasons with the Commanders, Dotson has recorded 84 receptions (144 targets) for 1,041 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns.

Adding a young playmaker like this to the Chiefs' receiving core would be a massive win. Not having Brown to start the season isn't ideal and now it appears that Kadarius Toney's time in Kansas City may be coming to an end.

Rashee Rice has also been in a lot of drama this offseason so getting another pass catcher would pay major dividends. This is something to watch closely as we approach the regular season.
