Patrick Mahomes Unveils Hilarious New Practice Drill
By Joe Summers
Patrick Mahomes is no stranger to remarkable throws in unique ways that other players wouldn't even consider, and he's now unveiled a new practice drill that looks every bit as difficult as it does unique.
As seen below, Mahomes was blindfolded and spun around a pole to get dizzy before trying to accurate throw a football at a target. He was still blindfolded yet still managed impressive results overall.
Perhaps he's preparing for another 'Snow Globe' trick play. More likely, he's trying to simulate chaos and a lack of balance. Either way, it's hilarious.

Mahomes was so disoriented at the end of the spinning portion that you can see him struggling to find his balance. He had to be directed on where the target was and once he knew where to aim, the three-time Super Bowl MVP nailed it.
It's unclear if this is a drill he's practiced before but if he has, then no wonder Mahomes so casually flicked a TD pass against Tampa Bay after a spin. These are the types of drills most players would never dream of trying, yet there's Mahomes always looking for new ways to gain an edge.
The Chiefs love a good trick play, but it looks like there's a real benefit to this drill once you get over the silly appearance. Coaches often try to simulate difficult scenarios so that players are calm when troublesome situations arise. This drill follows that mold.
He likely won't ever face a scenario in which he's this dizzy, and he certainly won't be blindfolded, though it might be a lot easier to keep his composure with defenders running at him if he's made difficult throws in practice.
We're reminded every day of Mahomes' greatness. This example just happens to be funny to watch.
