The Chiefs seem to be having a lot more fun at training camp this year than in recent seasons, busting out trick plays and staying dialed in while simultaneously showing they're capable of enjoying their time on the field as well.

Monday provided the best example yet of the devastating freedom Kansas City is playing with, as Andy Reid drew up what might be his most spectacular play yet.

Fans are understandably concerned about Kadarius Toney's ability to catch the football, but Reid showed he's not worried by creating a quadruple pass play that requires Toney to catch the ball twice. Even better, the play actually worked.

For those scoring at home, that's Patrick Mahomes to Toney back to Mahomes back to Toney then down the field to Xavier Worthy, presumably for a TD. Toney played quarterback in high school, throwing for over 6,500 yards during his junior and senior seasons, so he's more than capable of pulling off a trick pass.

He was almost part of one of the greatest trick plays in Chiefs history, erased by an offsides penalty, so perhaps this could be Toney's chance at redemption.

Even if it's just a training camp wrinkle, it's an incredibly fun play to watch. Kansas City is using Toney in a variety of ways at training camp, ranging from receiver to running back to now quarterback, and it looks more likely by the day that he's making the 53-man roster.

If Chiefs Kingdom gets to see a play even half as neat as this one during the regular season, 2024 is going to be a year to remember.
