Patrick Mahomes Breaks Silence on Chiefs Bringing Back Kareem Hunt

The Kansas City Chiefs made the massive decision to sign their former star Kareem Hunt after losing Isiah Pacheco for an extended period of time. The only healthy running backs on the roster were rookie Carson Steele and new addition Samaje Perine. Therefore, the Chiefs signed free agent Hunt and elevated Keaontay Ingram from the practice squad.
Naturally, a big-name signing like Hunt brought about a ton of reaction. Hunt has a tumultuous history with the Chiefs, after all.
Kansas City selected Hunt in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft and he immediately became one of the best running backs in the league. In his rookie season where he made a Pro Bowl, Hunt helped the Chiefs make the postseason. He was on his way to another incredible season until a video of him assaulting a woman surfaced.
The Chiefs released him after he was placed on the commissioner's exempt list and Clark Hunt said Hunt had not been truthful to the organization when they asked him about the incident.
After an investigation and suspension from the league, Hunt was re-instated and had a five-year career with the Cleveland Browns.
Now, Hunt is back where it all started and Patrick Mahomes is glad to have him in Kansas City again.

Mahomes and Hunt came into the league in the same draft. Even though Mahomes didn't play in his rookie year, he and Hunt started in 11 games together in their second seasons until Hunt's release.
