The Chiefs have one of the best rosters in the NFL, rightful favorites to hoist a third straight Lombardi Trophy with minimal personnel weaknesses on the team.

Fans don't have much to worry about aside from health, though some position groups aren't as strong as others. David Kenyon of Bleacher Report identified each NFL team's biggest bust candidate, and he believes veteran DT Derrick Nnadi could be in for a rough season.

Nnadi enters his seventh season manning the middle and despite his durability, he's considered a weak link, if there is one, compared to the rest of the defense.

Chiefs DT Derrick Nnadi Predicted as Team's 'Biggest Bust'

Kenyon writes, "Derrick Nnadi quickly established himself on the Kansas City defense as a rookie in 2018. For a few seasons, he was a solid player, too. Nnadi's impact has steadily dipped over the last two years, however. The position's lack of depth should keep him in the lineup, but expectations for Nnadi should be relatively low."

In his seven seasons, Nnadi has played in 98 games, compiling 222 tackles, five sacks, two deflected passes, a forced fumble and an interception. The 2018 third-round pick saw his season cut short in the Wild Card round of the playoffs but has still played a valuable role in the middle of Kansas City's defense.

Alongside Chris Jones, George Karlaftis, Mike Danna, and Charles Omenihu, Nnadi doesn't have to do much to positively impact the game. I understand assigning him the potential "bust" label, as the Chiefs are so good defensively that it's hard to identify one otherwise, but I still think Nnadi has an important role.

Kansas City should once again have one of the NFL's best defenses, capable of throttling offenses and changing the complexion of a game. Nnadi is an important part of that, even if he's an unsung hero of sorts, and there's a reason the Chiefs prioritized bringing him back for a potential three-peat.

If Nnadi is the worst player on the defense, Steve Spagnuolo's unit will be just fine. The bigger concern would be if another more important player had a poor season. As a result, I'm not worried about Nnadi's performance this season. As long as he clogs up the middle and stays healthy, the Chiefs are in great shape.
