Kareem Hunt Admits Harsh Truth in First Chiefs Press Conference After Return
The Kansas City Chiefs have dealt with some big-time punches thrown their way but have come out on top nonetheless. They are 3-0 and have a critical division battle on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Running back Isiah Pacheco went down with a fractured fibula and the Chiefs decided to pivot. They brought back Kareem Hunt to add more depth to the backfield.
After spending last week on the practice squad, Hunt got elevated to the 53-man roster. Now on Wednesday, he made his first public comments since re-joining the Chiefs and admitted harsh truths.

After taking the podium on Wednesday, the Toledo product expressed it was hard for him not to be a part of the Chiefs Super Bowl-winning rosters. He then realized he needed to think positively and was happy to see Andy Reid win those titles but wished he helped bring the championships home.
The 29-year-old also revealed he didn't think he would ever suit up for the Chiefs again.
"Honestly, no. I didn't think I'd end up back here. It's crazy how things happen to work out."
- Kareem Hunt
Back in December 2018, Hunt was released by the Chiefs after a video of him striking a woman was released.
That forced him to head to the Cleveland Browns in 2019, where he spent the past five seasons. Now he gets a chance to redeem himself in a Chiefs uniform, and it starts on Sunday.
Hopefully, he can rekindle that spark he had in Kansas City in 2017 & 2018.
