The Chiefs got a piece of terrible injury news following Sunday's dramatic win over the Bengals, as star RB Isiah Pacheco suffered a fractured fibula.
It's unclear exactly how long he'll be out, but an injury this significant will require some time on the sidelines. Carson Steele and Samaje Perine are next up with Clyde Edwards-Helaire still on the IR list.
Pacheco looked like one of the league's best running backs at the end of last year and beginning of this one. He had 90 rushing yards against the Bengals before suffering this injury, and now Kansas City has to scramble to replace him.

Things didn't sound positive based on Andy Reid's postgame comments on Sunday. Pacheco was seen upset in the locker room. Now, we clearly know why.
The third-year back worked hard in the offseason to improve his pass-catching abilities and become more of a dual-threat weapon. That work seemed to pay off early, as he was consistently involved and already had seven catches through two weeks. Without him, the Chiefs will look much different offensively.
WR Marquise "Hollywood" Brown could miss the entire season, leaving Kansas City down two major contributors. They're still 2-0 and the schedule gets easier moving forward, but it's a massive blow nonetheless.
More information will come out over the week. Hopefully, Pacheco can get back on the field sooner than later. He looked like a potential breakout star as the undisputed three-down back, but now his outlook is murky for the 2024-25 season.
