Final Score Predictions for Every Chiefs Primetime Game on the 2024 Schedule
Week 3 @ Atlanta Falcons (SNF)
The Chiefs' first Sunday Night Football matchup of the new schedule takes place when they visit the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3. Although the Falcons haven't experienced a winning season since 2017, every NFL fan knows that an upset can occur at a moment's notice, meaning no team should ever be too underestimated.
But despite Atlanta's offseason additions, from Kirk Cousins to Darnell Mooney, I don't see Kansas City losing this matchup. The Falcons simply have too much to prove after ending 2023 with a 3-7 stretch in their final 10 games, which includes losses to bottom-feeding teams like the Arizona Cardinals, Carolina Panthers, and Chicago Bears.
DraftKings Sportsbook is already listing the Falcons as 3-point home underdogs in Week 3, further proving that the Chiefs shouldn't lose this game. After all, Atlanta is only 5-13 (27.8%) as the underdog since the beginning of the 2022 season whereas Kansas City is 26-8 (76.5%) as the favorite during that span.
The Falcons boasted a solid pass defense last season, so they could frustrate Mahomes at times throughout the game. However, the Chiefs have more than enough talent across the board to put the Falcons down without breaking a sweat.
