Former Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney officially has a new home, signing with the Browns on Monday following a disastrous performance from Cleveland's passing attack.

Toney worked out with the team last week and is seemingly a perfect fit given the Browns' underwhelming depth chart at the position. Kansas City no longer had space for him with a receiver room that grew progressively crowded during the offseason, though Cleveland's depth chart has no such issues.

It may take some time for Toney to make an impact, but he should find the field sooner than later.

Former Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney Signs With Browns

The Browns were among the most embarrassing teams in Week 1, largely due to disgraced QB Deshaun Watson's incompetence. Toney can't magically make Watson good again, but he can offer head coach Kevin Stefanski new, creative options to get the ball out of Watson's hands.

While many in Chiefs Kingdom soured on Toney, there's no denying his talent and ability to make defenders miss with the ball in his hands. His injuries and inconsistency doomed him in Kansas City, yet this is still a former first-round pick who can flip a game in the right situation.

The move comes after TE David Njoku suffered an injury in the loss to the Cowboys. Cleveland had a roster spot to use and chased upside by signing Toney.

Whether or not he makes a difference remains to be seen, though it's still great to see someone with his ability land on his feet with an organization that expects to contend for a division title.

For those eyeing a revenge game, the Browns host the Chiefs on December 15.
