All-Pro WR Tyreek Hill had a wildly interesting Sunday morning as the Dolphins opened their season with the Jaguars. He was detained for a speeding incident on his way to Hard Rock Stadium, throwing a massive wrench into his pre-game plans in Week 1.

He was able to suit up and play with no more incidents, and players around the league quickly started responding to the bizarre circumstances.

One of those responses came from superstar Chief Chris Jones, who immediately posted support of his former teammate.

Shortly after Hill's situation, Jones tweeted support and said "free reek" in Hill's honor. Hill has had frequent run-ins with law enforcement during his time in the NFL yet has still become perhaps the best wide receiver of his generation.

He's a beloved teammate who stays in touch with his former Chiefs counterparts, though he hasn't found true team success since leaving Kansas City for Miami.

It's not yet clear if Hill will face punishment from the law or NFL for the incident. His ability to play in Sunday's contest against the Jaguars bodes well overall for his status, yet it's a situation to monitor moving forward nonetheless.

The Chiefs got off to a 1-0 start after an impressive victory over the Ravens on Thursday Night Football. Meanwhile, the Dolphins are struggling with the Jaguars and look far away from contention. They need Hill to be truly competitive and he should be part of the team's plans moving forward.

Even still, it's obvious the roster has major issues if they expect to make noise in the 2024-25 season.
