Chris Jones Has Insane Contract Incentive for Chiefs Making Super Bowl
By Joe Summers
We saw Chris Jones secure a $1 million bonus for securing his 10th sack in Week 18 and now he's got the chance to add another massive incentive bonus to his bank account.
If the Chiefs make the Super Bowl, Jones will receive an additional $1 million bonus after making first team All-Pro.
Given the uproarious reaction from Chiefs players to Jones getting that initial incentive, you can bet the team will be extra focused on getting the former Defensive Player of the Year finalist that extra cash, not that anyone needed the motivation.
Chris Jones Has $1 Million Contract Incentive if Chiefs Beat Ravens
While Jones had just three tackles against the Bills but made perhaps the play of the game defensively when he shoved LT Dion Dawkins into Josh Allen on a fourth-quarter throw that forced an incompletion on what could have been a TD to Khalil Shakur.
Jones routinely shows up in the biggest moments. I don't think he needed the incentive to deliver this Sunday, but an extra $1 million in potential bonuses certainly doesn't hurt matters.
The Chiefs are sizable underdogs to the Ravens in Baltimore, though Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City typically find a way to deliver in these spots.
Chiefs Kingdom is ready to celebrate a second consecutive Super Bowl appearance and hopefully a third Lombardi Trophy in the last five seasons. If Jones shows up the way he typically does, he'll be celebrating a bit extra too.
