Some Chiefs don't seem too fond of the overseas trip to Germany this week to face the Dolphins in Week 9, and at least one player is willing to voice those complaints.

It does look like a strategic mistake by the NFL to play this particular game in Germany, given it's the first time the Chiefs will face Tyreek Hill after trading him to Miami, though that's not why Marquez Valdes-Scantling is irked.

The wide receiver spoke with CBS Sports and didn't hold back his disdain.

Chiefs WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling Says Germany NFL Game "Sucks"

"Yeah, it sucks," admitted Valdes-Scantling in a one-on-one interview. "Obviously it sucks that we have to travel nine hours for a home game when Arrowhead is right down the street."

He did note that he wants to give fans around the world the "opportunity to see some of their favorite players play." It certainly is good for the growth of the game, but it's understandable that players would find the hefty travel inconvenient.

"I'm grateful to give them that opportunity," said the Chiefs' longest-tenured wide receiver. "But it does suck for the players to have to be away from their families, or (I've) got to find a babysitter for my dogs for a couple days."

I can't blame Valdes-Scantling there, though I hope he and the team are able to focus on the matchup at hand. The Chiefs' offense is in a rut, punctuated by not scoring a touchdown in the Week 8 loss to the Broncos.

Several players need to step up, Valdes-Scantling certainly among them. My fingers are crossed he takes his frustrations out on the Dolphins this Sunday. When in Germany, right?
