The Chiefs received excellent injury news on Saturday, just two days before a Week 5 Monday Night Football showdown with the Saints.

All active players participated in practice, a welcome sign after both Kareem Hunt and Mecole Hardman had availability questions. Based purely on Saturday, it looks like each player will suit up against New Orleans, giving Kansas City's offense a big boost.

Rashee Rice, Isiah Pacheco, and Hollywood Brown are all on injured reserve, though the Chiefs should be mostly healthy otherwise.

Chiefs Release Saturday Injury Report Before Week 5 vs. Saints

This is a key week for Kansas City, mostly for reasons unrelated to the final score. They have a bye in Week 6 and at this point, escaping games without more injuries is more important than winning.

The Chiefs sit at 4-0, the only undefeated team in the AFC. Fans and national media alike know that the only thing that matters is the team's performance in the playoffs, which largely hinges on the availability of its stars.

Hunt became the leader of the backfield in his first game back with the organization, compiling 85 yards on 16 touches while immediately establishing himself as one of the offense's most important weapons. It was beautiful for the player and team alike, giving Andy Reid yet another reliable weapon to depend on down the stretch.

Kansas City will see a familiar face in Derek Carr, who has led New Orleans to an unexpectedly promising start through the first month of the season. The Chiefs are favored by 5.5 points at FanDuel Sportsbook and this injury report should only bolster that advantage.

Barring a surprise, it looks like Kansas City will be as healthy as could be expected given the wild news over the last week.
