Chiefs Suddenly Have Perfect Opportunity to Poach Star WR from Hated Rival

Things just keep turning up in the Chiefs' favor. Just a couple of days after the organization announced a record-breaking five-year contract extension for Chris Jones, it appears Kansas City's rivals are falling apart.
Buffalo just cut a number of key veterans, including CB Tre'Davious White who was the last holdover from the Patrick Mahomes trade, Denver moved on from Russell Wilson, and now star WR Tee Higgins officially requested a trade from Cincinnati.
The Chiefs are keeping most major pieces and have a ton of cap space following the low cap hit for Chris Jones - could they make a move for Higgins to spurn the Bengals?

I'd be surprised if the Bengals willingly shipped Higgins off to their hated rival, but the Chiefs will be in an ideal range to make a trade, especially if L'Jarius Sneed is exchanged for extra draft picks.
Chiefs fans are well aware of how talented Higgins is. The former Clemson star has two 1,000-yard seasons in four years despite being a second-fiddle to Ja'Marr Chase, and he's a dependable red-zone threat capable of making difficult contested catches with regularity.
This represents a fork in the road for the Bengals, who seem to have missed their first window with Joe Burrow and now must rebuild the offense around him and Chase. Tyler Boyd appears likely to move on as well, leaving Cincinnati with two big pieces to replace.
As it stands, the Chiefs are +650 to win the Super Bowl while the Bengals are +1400. Once Higgins is officially moved, the gap will become wider between these two teams.
Higgins would be a perfect fit with the Chiefs. If Kansas City is willing to give him a long-term extension and meet the asking price, the Bengals might have no choice but to send their star to one of their biggest rivals.
