The Chiefs concluded rookie minicamp on Monday and international rugby star Louis Rees-Zammit is one player fans were excited to hear about. Andy Reid and the coaching staff have high expectations for the speedster and he seems to be developing quickly as he learns the nuances of the NFL.

While Rees-Zammit is listed as a running back, he'll likely have the chance to play on special teams as well given the new kickoff rules. He's been working as a punt returner and reports indicate he's improving at fielding punts.

Given his incredible speed, Rees-Zammit could be a real weapon if he cleans up his mistakes.

It's unclear exactly how big of a role the coaching staff has in mind for Rees-Zammit, though he's proven to be a dynamic athlete with good size.

If he turns into a reliable return man, the Chiefs could have one of the most dangerous special teams units in the league. Dave Toub is widely regarded as one of the league's best special teams coordinator, so giving him a weapon like Rees-Zammit could pay dividends.

Of course, there's only so much we can learn from a few days of practice without pads. Rees-Zammit could struggle with the physicality of games, but I have faith in the guy who made his name playing rugby.

Kansas City signed Rees-Zammit to a three-year contract with a sizable amount of guaranteed money. They hope the Welsh star can handle what the Chiefs throw at him and I'm excited to see how he can impact games at this level.
