We were excited when the Chiefs brought rookie Keondre Coburn back to the roster, but it seems the Chiefs lost out on the promising young defensive lineman once again.

The sixth-round pick out of Texas reportedly joined the Tennessee Titans' active roster, eschewing the Chiefs' practice squad for greener pastures.

Chiefs Roster News: Titans Sign DT Keondre Coburn

Coburn showed a lot of promise as a dependable defender for Texas, playing in double-digit games for four consecutive seasons while amassing 94 tackles and 5.5 sacks.

He's got an impressive blend of size, speed and physicality and will serve as an exciting young player for Mike Vrabel's unit.

It's a tough blow for the Chiefs, who seemed to like Coburn, but the defensive line is so crowded that it's difficult to find a spot for a player with limited professional experience.

Kansas City has drafted exceptionally well in recent years. We might have lost Coburn today, but hopefully we'll get another few playmakers in the 2024 NFL Draft.
