Chiefs Defender Reveals Two Biggest Revenge Games in 2024

Chiefs DE Charles Omenihu is currently rehabbing from surgery to repair a torn ACL, but he's already got his sights set on specific opponents in the 2024-25 season.

Appearing on Up & Adams with Kay Adams, Omenihu revealed the games he's most excited for in the new year. Originally drafted by the Texans before joining the 49ers, he's ready to get revenge on the teams that let him go.

Those aren't the only squads he's excited to face. After accumulating seven sacks in just 11 games last year, Omenihu is ready to put fear in the hearts of opposing offensive linemen.

"100% the Niners," Omenihu immediately responded when asked what games he was most looking forward to when the full schedule is officially released. "2,000% the Texans. If I could add another 1,000% to the Texans, I would."

He seems to harbor a grudge against the teams that chose not to retain him. Omenihu is entering the final season of a two-year deal with Kansas City and has already expressed a desire to earn a long-term extension, putting the Chiefs potentially on his list if Brett Veach chooses to let him walk.

"When the business shows itself early in your career, you keep that backlogged in your memory," Omenihu continued. "I feel like I have a little bit more to show (the Texans) too."

Omenihu listed the Ravens as a game he was excited for as well, noting the job wasn't finished since he got hurt in the AFC Conference Championship game in Baltimore after forcing a fumble.

The Chiefs will once again have one of the NFL's most fearsome defenses and sit at +650 to win another Super Bowl. If Omenihu makes a full recovery and Kansas City gets a full season out of him, those odds will prove to be a bargain.
