Two receivers on opposite ends of the spectrum for the Chiefs joined forces to deliver one of the most exciting plays of the year as Kansas City beat Las Vegas 31-17 on Sunday.

Rashee Rice was the breakout star of the game, while Marquez Valdes-Scantling's struggles continued with one catch for -1 yards. That being said, Rice was quick to give Valdes-Scantling credit for his 39-yard TD catch to put the game away.

Chiefs' Breakout Star Credits Much-Maligned WR for TD Play

After finding the end zone, Rice turned to the cameras and immediately gave Valdes-Scantling credit for an excellent block.

"Since y'all recording me," shouted Rice. "Shoutout to number one-one (11). I wouldn't have scored it it wasn't for that block."

He's not wrong either. Valdes-Scantling made an excellent downfield block to help spring Rice for his electric TD, showcasing a selflessness and willingness to help his teammates. That's what leaders do, and it's hard to argue that Valdes-Scantling isn't a leader in that locker room.

Rice is the Chiefs' clear top receiver right now, though Valdes-Scantling is the team's most experienced wideout and can help develop the emerging second-round pick.

Despite the receivers' issues, plays like this should make Chiefs fans smile.
