Chiefs Announce Contract Extension With Dave Toub Following Super Bowl
By Joe Summers
The Kansas City Chiefs announced Friday that Assistant Head Coach and Special Teams Coordinator Dave Toub has agreed to a contract extension to stay with the franchise.
Toub has been with the organization since 2013 and is widely regarded as one of the NFL's best special teams coaches, especially following his years coaching new Hall of Famer Devin Hester with the Chicago Bears.
Following the extension for Defensive Coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, Toub's contract ensures the core of the Chiefs' coaching staff will be back as the team hopes to become the first in history to win three consecutive Super Bowls.

The Chiefs are coming off a spectacular season culminating in a Lombardi Trophy. Over the years under Toub, Kansas City has routinely ranked among the top special teams units in the league.
Continuity matters for NFL teams and it's become more and more obvious in recent years. Keeping Toub was obviously a priority, so it's great to see that the team is keeping the group together for another year.
Brett Veach faces a ton of difficult decisions next season, whether it's the Chris Jones contract negotiations or the L'Jarius Sneed matter.
No matter what happens, at least we know that Toub will be back on the sidelines, likely once again coaching one of the most productive units in the sport.
