Chiefs' 2024-25 Win Total Odds Odds Show Kansas City is Still NFL's Best Team
By Joe Summers
With the 2024 NFL Draft right around the corner and the new season drawing closer by the day, sportsbooks are releasing opening odds for the Chiefs and other teams around the league.
We know that Kansas City is heavily favored to win the AFC West for a ninth straight year, and their opening win total indicates they'll once again be one of the very best teams in the sport.
The Chiefs have double-digit wins for nine consecutive seasons and oddsmakers expect 2024-25 to continue that tremendous streak. In fact, Kansas City is tied with Baltimore and San Francisco for the highest opening win totals of any franchise.
Chiefs 2024-25 Win Total Odds Forecast Dominance
The Chiefs, Ravens, and 49ers all opened at 11.5 wins at DraftKings Sportsbook. Odds of -110 for Kansas City mean you'd need to bet $11 to profit $10 in either direction, though alternate win total options will soon become available as well.
Over the last nine years, Kansas City won 12 or more games six times. They won 11 games twice, including in 2023, and 10 games back in 2017. They averaged just over 11.5 wins per game in that stretch, so this is a reasonable line from sportsbooks.
Even still, I like the Chiefs' chances to get over this win total. Patrick Mahomes is still the NFL's best player, Andy Reid is still the NFL's best coach, and Steve Spagnuolo's unit is still the NFL's best defense.
Some other notable win totals include the Chargers at 8.5, the Raiders at 6.5 and the Broncos at 5.5.
If you're feeling confident, you can bet the Chiefs to go 17-0 in the regular season at +3500 odds. Just a $10 bet would win you $350 if Kansas City gets it done!
Either way, you can bet on the Chiefs right now and get an instant $200 bonus from DraftKings Sportsbook! Just sign up, deposit at least $10 and bet $5 or more on any Chiefs wager and you'll immediately receive $200 in bonus bets. Click here to sign up for DraftKings now!
