Yesterday was a disaster on all fronts and now beloved former All-Pro and Super Bowl champion Mitchell Schwartz is calling out the Chiefs' fanbase for being toxic.

Following rampant frustration about the referees, Schwartz declared he was "logging off" of X (formerly and properly known as Twitter) due to Kansas City's fanbase.

Mitchell Schwartz Calls Out "Toxic" Chiefs Kingdom

Schwartz won a Super Bowl with the Chiefs and is one of the most beloved figures on Twitter for fans, so to see him call out Chiefs Kingdom is a worrying sign.

In fairness, Kansas City is following the footsteps of Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes, who stunningly called out yesterday's referees in the most public condemnation of officials we've ever seen from the two leaders.

Taking offense to fans calling out the referees, Schwartz has been adamant that fault lies at Toney's feet, who should've lined up onsides.

That's a simple, correct assessment that doesn't make the sting of yesterday's loss any better. This was a winnable game that the Chiefs once again let slip through their fingers. Calling out the referees doesn't ease the sting, and Schwartz is correct that Chiefs fans can be toxic online.

I haven't seen such in-fighting with Chiefs Kingdom since the Marcus Peters days. Fingers crossed they get this figured out quickly.
