It's been a whirlwind of a season for Chiefs' WR Kadarius Toney, who has struggled with drops and recurring injuries, though now there's a new piece of drama thrown into the mix.

After Toney bizarrely went on a profanity-laden tirade this weekend prior to the Chiefs' win over the Ravens, casting blame on the organization for faking his injury designation, Andy Reid has now spoken to the media about the issue.

According to Reid, Toney has indeed been dealing with an injury and he pushed back on the beleaguered wide receiver's depiction of his status.

Andy Reid Speaks on Kadarius Toney's Instagram Rant

It's unclear whether Toney will play in the Super Bowl or if he'll be on the roster next year, but it's certainly a strange development in the ongoing saga.

Toney caught just 27 of 38 targets for 169 yards and one TD this season in a highly disappointing year by any measure. He did set a record last season for the longest punt return in Super Bowl history to help clinch the win, so we know he's capable, but it's becoming less likely that he reaches his immense potential in Kansas City.

The Chiefs beat the Ravens regardless, as his Instagram hijinks didn't seem to distract the team much. We'll see what happens throughout practice this week, though I'd surmise it's unlikely he suits up in Las Vegas.
