Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney is not expected to play in Sunday’s AFC Championship Game against the Baltimore Ravens.
The Chiefs listed Toney as questionable to play on Friday with a hip injury. James Palmer of NFL Network reported on Saturday that Toney was downgraded to out (personal/hip) because of the birth of his first child, and he’s dealing with a hip injury.
Kadarius Toney had his first child tonight. A baby girl. That's where the personal part of his designation came from. He's also dealing with a hip injury that is keeping him out tomorrow. https://t.co/XxkqM7qI6s

However, it doesn’t appear that the latter is the case, as the young receiver took to Instagram to voice his frustrations in a profanity-laced rant, where he accused the Chiefs of lying about his injury stats.
Toney said he’s not hurt and mentioned that twice in the 45-second Instagram clip that surfaced on X.

The former first-round pick didn’t play in Kansas City’s first two playoff games against the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins reportedly because of hip/ankle injuries. Last week, he was ruled out in the final injury report. But Toney received a questionable tag for the Super Wild Card matchup against Miami.
The 25-year-old wideout hasn’t had a good season, as he’s only posted 27 receptions (38 targets) for 169 yards and a touchdown. It will be interesting to see what’s the fallout from this rant, especially if the Chiefs were to win on Sunday and advance to the Super Bowl.
