Super Bowl LVII: Chiefs Defeat Eagles 38-35 - February 12, 2023

Ahhh, sweet memories.

In one of the most exciting Super Bowls in recent memory, a hobbled Patrick Mahomes outlasted Jalen Hurts and the Eagles, putting the Chiefs in position to kick a game-winning field goal on the final drive. I'll remember this playoff run forever, and we got one of the defining plays of this era to boot:

Mahomes won his second Super Bowl MVP, finishing with 182 passing yards and three TDs while adding 44 rushing yards. The Chiefs overcame a double-digit halftime deficit, punctuated by Kadarius Toney's record-setting punt return.

To Hurts' credit, the Eagles' QB was phenomenal as well. Hurts put up 374 total yards and four TDs, though his fumble that Nick Bolton returned for a TD flipped the tide and gave Kansas City an opportunity to come back.

The Chiefs have a great opportunity to reach the Super Bowl for a fourth time in the last five seasons, and I predict they'll face the Eagles once again.

Fingers crossed Reid will have improved to 5-0 against his former team by that point.
