The Chiefs officially traded L'Jarius Sneed to the Tennessee Titans on Friday, ending the star cornerback's time in Kansas City after consectuve Super Bowl wins.

While fans are already thinking about what prospects could replace Sneed or who the team can re-sign with the cap space, head coach Andy Reid made his first public comments about the trade on Monday afternoon.

Sneed will be missed by all in Chiefs Kingdom and it sounds like Reid is no exception to the sorrow.

Appearing at the NFL's Annual League Meeting, Reid said "[Sneed is] one of my all-time favorite guys, a great human being as great a player as he is, [an even] better human being, and as tough as you can imagine." He continued, “I’m his biggest fan. Absolutely.”

Originally a fourth-round draft pick out of Louisiana Tech, Sneed worked his way into becoming perhaps the league's best cornerback. He's certainly among the most physical and versatile, routinely shadowing opponent's top receivers and shutting them down with regularity.

Sneed is now a Titan and the Chiefs will move forward with Trent McDuffie, Joshua Williams, Jaylen Watson and Nazeeh Johnson. Brett Veach has a proven track record of identifying mid-round cornerback talent and turning them into productive starters and Sneed might be his masterpiece.

I'm wishing Sneed nothing but success and happiness with his new massive contract extension, though I agree with Reid's sentiment that it hurts to see him go.

Nonetheless, the Chiefs are favored to win the AFC once again at +300, significantly better than the Titans at +7000.
