The wait is finally over and the 2024 NFL Draft is here. The Kansas City Chiefs have a draft pick in each of the first three rounds of the draft. Even though these selections are at the end of each round, they will give general manager Brett Veach an excellent opportunity to strengthen the roster ahead of their attempt at a three-peat.

The Chiefs have fittingly chosen a franchise icon to be the face of the organization announcing these picks. As part of the NFL's initiative to make Day 2 more exciting with the involvement of legends and popular figures, the Chiefs will have former star rusher Jamaal Charles announcing their selections at No. 64 and No. 95.

Chiefs Legend Jamaal Charles Announcing Day 2 Draft Picks

Jamaal Charles is no stranger to Day 2 announcements. He was selected by Kansas City in the third round (no. 73 overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft, after all. He then went on to have extremely productive nine seasons in Kansas City, making first-team All-Pro twice and the Pro Bowl four times.

Postseason success eluded him throughout his career but Charles was arguably the best running back in the league for a number of seasons and finished his Chiefs career with 64 total touchdowns, making him a fan favorite for a long time.

The Chiefs might still make some moves during the draft, so it's not certain that Charles will be announcing exactly two picks. However, regardless of whichever or however many selections the iconic running back announces, Chiefs fans all over the country will be thrilled to see him on the stage representing the organization.

The NFL Draft has already started but it's not too late to get in on the action. You can still head over to FanDuel Sportsbook and claim your $150 in bonus bets after your first $5 wager.
