Believe it or not, our Kansas City Chiefs can still get the No. 1 seed in the AFC. We're coming off a brutal loss to the Packers, but fortunes favor the Chiefs moving forward in the conference.

Thanks to the Jaguars' struggles and the Dolphins' stunning loss to the Titans on Monday Night Football, the Chiefs can still get the 1 seed if they win out.

Here's the latest on the standings:

AFC Playoffs: Chiefs Can Still Get No. 1 Seed

The Chiefs currently sit third in the AFC, two games behind the Ravens and one game behind the Dolphins.

Kansas City owns a tiebreaker over both of those teams, having beat the Dolphins head-to-head and holding a 6-2 conference record opposed to the Ravens' 6-3 record.

That's significant because the Chiefs' schedule is significantly easier than the Dolphins or Ravens'. If they finish with the same record, the Chiefs will earn the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

Should the Chiefs win out, we'd need two losses from the Ravens and one from the Dolphins to finish atop the conference.

Baltimore has games against the Jaguars, 49ers, Dolphins and Steelers left, while Miami plays the Jets, Cowboys, Ravens and Bills. It's extremely easy to imagine some losses coming with those difficult respective schedules, and we already know at least one team will lose since they play each other.

Chiefs Kingdom owes Mike Vrabel and the Titans' organization a hearty holiday thank you. Because of their win last night, the dream for a sixth consecutive AFC Championship game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium is alive and well.

That being said, the Chiefs need to beat the Patriots and FanDuel Sportsbook is giving you a $150 bonus if they do! If you deposit at least $10 and bet $5 or more on the Chiefs to win, you'll get $150 in bonus bets if they do. Sign up for FanDuel now!
