1. Kadarius Toney, WR

When the Chiefs traded for Kadarius Toney, it felt as though they were about to make the New York Giants look foolish.

A first-round pick out of Florida in 2021, Toney was still learning to play wide receiver but put up 420 yards on 39 receptions. He clashed with the coaching staff, however, and they grew tired of him quickly. Toney was shipped to Kansas City in exchange for a third and sixth-round pick.

He had some success, going for 171 yards receiving and 59 on the ground in seven games with three total touchdowns. He was also one of the heroes during their Super Bowl LVII win over the Philadelphia Eagles. He caught a touchdown in the fourth quarter and nearly had another earlier in the game when he set the NFL record for the longest punt return in the Super Bowl — 65 yards.

Toney then took a step in the wrong direction in 2023. He managed just 169 yards on 27 receptions for a career-low 6.3 yards per attempt. He also had some terrible drops and was guilty of being offside on a crucial play in their loss to the Buffalo Bills. Kansas City thought they had the game won but Toney's blunder cost them.

In addition to his issues on the field, Toney drew the ire of the team when he accused them of lying when they had him out with an injury designation during the postseason. He apologized but never retracted his statements. Throw in the fact that he still sees himself as a No. 1 wide receiver and the Chiefs would probably be best served moving on before camp.
