5. Hunter Renfrow - Free Agent
The only player on this list who is an active free agent, Hunter Renfrow should be one of Brett Veach's first calls. Just a few years removed from a 1,000-yard season with the Raiders, Renfrow is a smart, reliable receiver who could seamlessly fit into the Chiefs' passing scheme.
It's surprising that Renfrow is still on the street after being released by Las Vegas earlier this summer. Perhaps he's just been waiting for the right opportunity, and there are few players who could be had at such a low cost while still providing value to Kansas City.
Renfrow has only ever played for the Raiders and managed only 225 yards in 2023. He fell out of favor with his original team, yet just like some of the other guys on this list, much of that decline can be blamed on terrible QB play.
Hunter Renfrow’s triple move on his TD catch Sunday was special. But watch Willie Snead on the play. Looks like he and Renfrow are doing a synchronized dance. He clears his man from the area to help allow the TD. Then watch Carr go to Snead after Renfrow. #Raiders pic.twitter.com/cKM3bOlDQR

When you run routes at the level that Renfrow does while displaying sure hands, you shouldn't be a free agent. One team's trash is often Brett Veach's treasure, and acquiring Renfrow wouldn't cost anything besides the contract.
Unless there's some kind of underlying injury not known by the public, Renfrow should be a priority add for the Chiefs in the wake of Friday's stunning Hollywood Brown news. Renfrow obviously wouldn't replace the speedster, though he'd be a net positive for the offense regardless.
